What to Expect?


Prospective employees can expect the following steps in the application process:
Step 1:   
Apply to a job posting listed under career opportunities by selecting “apply” in the job posting.

Step 2:
Should you be contacted by SAH as part of the selection process, accommodations are available upon your request to meet your accessibility needs.
Step 3:
Pre-employment conditions exist:
Verification of three (3) employment references
A Criminal Reference and Vulnerable Sector Check clearance
Step 4:
Complete the pre-placement health assessment prior to your first day of work.  All candidates must receive a pre-employment assessment clearance from our Occupational Health Nurse before they can begin work at Sault Area Hospital. Human Resources will set up an onboarding appointment with new hires in order to begin this process.
Step 5:
Attend new hire orientation and departmental training upon hire.
